Since this is the kids last week of school before summer break, we have been getting together teacher apprecation gifts. I recently wrote an article on teacher appreciation and was surprised that every single teacher I interviewed for the article said that their favorite gift that they get is personal notes from students and parents. All of the teachers that I spoke with said that they save the letters and read them through the years. They loved it most when the kids wrote the notes in their own handwriting and included special memories of the year.
So this year we are going to give our teachers a gift card to a book store and handwritten notes from both me and the kids.
