A few years ago, I ran across this Summer Craft Camp on The Idea Box website. It is designed for parents to do at home with their children over the summer break. Each week has a theme, such as Pirates, Bugs or Fourth of July. During each week, each day has a snack, game, craft and book planned. I found the activities to be fun and easy to plan. We have done several of these themes over the summer and I find myself searching for this webiste each year.
We really enjoyed the Awesome America week last year and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for fun ways to teach your kids about the Fourth of July.
