A great way to create memories of your vacation is to start a family tradition of items to collect while on vacation. My family collects refrigerator magnets of places that we visit. When I open the fridge after a long day, I am often reminded of our fun trips together by looking at the various magnets. A neighbors family collects sand from each place that she visits and another family we know collects shells from every beach they visit.

What a fabulous idea because they're small and easily storable! It's not like a ton of shells with the dreaded sand all over them!
